New use cases

Silverpeas platform provides a development kit for new applications. (SDK)

This development kit provides access to the Silverpeas bus API, which encapsulates all the generic mechanisms:

•      rights management,
•      workflow engine,
  
•      research
  
•      subscriptions,
  
•      notifications,
  
•      Adding Attachments and versioning,
  
•      SSO
  
•      etc..

It is very easy and fast to develop new applications or change the behavior of existing tools.

We design these applications using the methodology of "use cases" (from UML). Specifications are validated by the customer, and we come into the development phase, with the Silverpeas forge (see www.silverpeas.org). the development can be shared or partly supported by our R & D team, if they are extensions of the standard product.

So, it is possible to develop complex applications. (eg inventory management, scheduling management, consolidation of financial or environmental datas, etc.).
