Coaching
To put to work it's platform, Silverpeas has developed a methodology that we describe below :
- Understand the context of the project and the maturity of the company about collaborative tools. Define and / or refine the approach below (removing inappropriate steps in context)
- Identify the organizational units and actors involved in successive target deployment
- Identify large sets of information (documents, databases), and the most used applications
- Identify key processes, roles and responsibilities (contributors, validators, readers)
- Establish cross matrices Actors / information and describe the relevance and criticality of intersections
- Identify problems (inhibiting the achievement of an objective, organization, control, SI current constraints to the business (financial, legal, etc. ....)
- study the possible impact of various collaborative tools of organizational units, objectives, problems, opportunities
- Organize collaborative spaces by : business units, trades, processes, projects, crosscutting concerns (quality, traceability, etc.).
- Set on rights (of users, groups, roles) on variuous tools
- Establish a large mesh taxonomy content
- Study access mode of different types of actors (sedentary, nomadic, etc.). And the security aspects
- Search for information, processes, services, that could increase the use of tools
- Refine the deployment strategy
- Customize the graphic user interface to strengthen the identity of groups or business units
- Coach the tools managers and contributors, during their first steps
The implementation should always be carried out as a project (such as driven, with goals, deadlines, a manager, working groups). The worst mistake of putting a solution available "parachuted" without involvement, without explanation, without support.
