Designer Online Forms

Online forms are useful in many Silverpeas applications, we can say omnipresent.
The first thing that comes to our mind is the Online Forms application, widely used to digitize everyday requests. But whether it’s in classifieds, document management, or for creating “structured content” files such as additional information for contacts. And also in resource management, media libraries, web pages, forms are useful in many applications.
Pretty much everywhere if you want! WYSIWYG is practical and gives freedom. But sometimes it’s interesting to have a template where each element has a well-defined shape and place. A little rigor from time to time doesn’t hurt!
To allow administrators of our Silverpeas platforms to be autonomous in their form creation, the backoffice offers a form designer. This allows for easy creation of necessary forms. As you can see below, many types of fields are available with the form designer:
By default, these forms have a generic rendering:
In edit mode |
In view mode |
![]() |
![]() |
Mais il est possible de personnaliser les rendus en créant une surcouche HTML. Cela nécessite les compétences de base en HTML et CSS. Il est possible de redéfinir une nouvelle présentation aussi bien pour la consultation que pour l’édition.
But it is also possible to customize the renderings by creating an HTML overlay. This requires basic HTML and CSS skills. It’s possible to redefine a new presentation for both viewing and editing.
And if you add a bit of javascript, then you can do whatever you like 😊. This allows you to build really nice content 😉
